Cornwall Carers Service

Cornwall Carers Service, which came into effect on 1st July 2021, supports all carers regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy, maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

Three levels of support are offered:

Level 1 will offer help to self-manage via a whole-age Adviceline on 01736 756655, an interactive website, text-to-chat options, live web-chat options, Carers Emergency Card, Carers Passport, Carers Register and Carers Newsletter.

Level 2 will offer enhanced support when you need it via the whole-age Adviceline where there will be a dedicated Team available to answer Carers’ calls and queries. There will also be face-to-face support available and access to carer specific training and Community Support.

Level 3 will offer formal care and support through a Carers Needs Assessment and associated Support Plan. Through the Support Plan, carers will be empowered to improve their wellbeing and manage their caring role.
